Despite the evil of Thugs who are elevating a hate monger to sainthood, this remains true:

The idea that an individual acting alone can

a) impose justice by killing someone and/or 

b) achieve justice for a group by killing someone…

… is an idea and act rooted in male supremacy. And almost always an idea and act of White supremacy.

Such an individual understands himself as an agent superior to almost all others. It does not matter what he envisions as right or just for his society. He has made himself independent of his community in terrible fashion.

Only, as Dr King preached and exhibited and as a few million black people preached and exhibited with him, only the Will to confront injustice and the resolve to suffer whatever may come from confronting evil, is redemptive.

Currently, we are not under the leadership of any kind of conservative politics. We are a nation choosing to be thrilled by authoritarianism. 

The most horrific detriment of these United States is the abandonment of our political system that is underway in mass thrall to dictatorial power.

So, over 1/2 of White people, joined by a significant number of people of color, are supporting the suspension of separation of powers, law and order, and civil rights because they want a “strong man” making it up to deliver impervious identity in the world.

This is not a political fight. It is fight of resistance to reactionary revolution by force. And the national weakness is all the more disgusting.

It is only when authoritarian regimes become operationally murderous that it is, in fact, morally appropriate for resisters - an active community of those with moral intentions and not a lone individual - to plan assassinations. Because such actions would be chosen to stop killings and not political.
