Glenn Twists Christianity Into a Colonizing White Man’s Brutalist Game

Glenn is trying to live out the 17th century colonizing dream of the puritans. When one reads William Bradford’s Of Plymouth Plantation, as someone living in the 21st century, it’s immediately obvious that his worldview is no different than jihadist terrorism.

But Glenn, and more than Glenn, all radical protestants who love the thug life love the sound of jihadism but only the Christian version in their ears. They all hate and attack sacramental Christianity. Which, in doing so, is by necessity a denial of Christ himself and what we know about god. Christ in his own body is the supreme sacrament of the relationship between Creator and the created. And Christ gave us the sacramental life so that the faithful can enter into that relationship via the material things of creation. Water, bread, salt, oil, and all the rest of creation can be the conduit of God’s presence among and in us BY THE PROMISES AND POWER OF THE TRIUNE GOD.

Firstly, we cannot know god by our own reasoning. But as St Paul says, we can imagine many things about what a true god must be like by observing the realities here in earth and reflecting on them. Obviously all biological life must be of great value. Almost all non-biological existence and change serves to platform new and thriving biological life. That all of nature has a role to play that cannot be autonomous but exists in the entire eco-system. We know that created things can fail the system over time and many species disappear. Unfit, and not by their choice. Except for humans there is no free will - with the notable capacities of animals, and none more than primates, for play and care and concern. Self consciousness is a particularly glorious and powerful gift that humans have been given. Earlier human species cared for their dead. Etc.

But we cannot… CANNOT know god in God’s being without first believing in a mystical event. If god is omniscient, omnipotent, and chiefly omnipresent, we cannot begin to approach the Divine unless the Divine approaches us. And we are reduced to experiencing and absorbing such an act only as immensely mystical. Meeting god is all mystery, live, absorption, and absolute and endless content for reflection on the meaning of such mystical relationship for all time.

The Christian life is directed to think about the mystical relationship we have with god by virtue of the Son’s emptying himself to be born among us fully as one of us.

It is this profoundly loving event that Glenn and radical Protestants have denied for fully five hundred years.

They deny the Incarnation of the Word of God and, therefore, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit which Jesus promised and was manifest 50 days after his death and resurrection. They must deny this mystical communion with the godhead by the power of the Holy Spirit because, like Governor Bradford, they lust after the victories of the flesh: superiority. Christ is not in them.

Which is the reason that Glenn must control all conversations about Christian theology. They all need that control to maintain their myth of superiority. They instrumentalist Holy Scripture - as taught to generations of radical protestants ever since Geneva and Zurich turned scripture into a legal document.

So, Glenn had to cut out part of and cut ifc the debate yesterday. When you to control Christ and the Holy Spirit, you live a life of anxious fragility expressing itself in hate and anger.

This comment of mine, he couldn’t allow:

He said to the twelve (and surely didn’t lie to them or seek to confuse them):

“Take, eat; this is my body.”

Zero qualifications. You add the qualifications.

He said to the twelve:

“Drink of it, all of you; for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”

Zero qualifications. You add the qualifications. If it wasn’t his blood, mystically, then he lied about it being the new covenant poured out for many.

What you don’t grasp, Glenn, is that faith is necessarily faith in the mystical. Christianity is only a faith by virtue of a mystical event at the center of its faith. And mystical cannot be explained. God - neither the the Father nor the Son nor the Spirit - is not created. We are. We are set in time and space, which themselves are created. His us not of time and space. God is not above, not up, not out there somewhere. God - the Father AND the Son AND the Holy Spirit - is omnipresent: in whatever form they choose.

You are stuck in a gutter rationalism of the 17th century that separates you from the Eternal and the character and wisdom of the Eternal: the metaphysical realities of the Good and the True and the Beautiful. We can only enter into communion with such Eternity by mystical experience and faith in the unseen. Faith is the hope of the unseen.

You escape all this. Because you refuse to actually read scripture and believe it.

If Christ - the eternally omnipresent Son of God - is not allowed by you to be present in the bread - then you make him a liar by your reasoning: how can he be present where two or three are gathered?

And that he doesn’t say he is present with a single person in worship indicates his dedication to the church - the body of Christ - and not fidelis singularis, the sole believed. He will not be your possession. But he will be present to the church at all times.

You deny the Incarnation because you deny his presence in the sacraments and his presence with the church.  All these are mystical realities Christian’s believe.

But you are left in the 17th century protestantism that cannot stomach the mystical.

  1. Since people are coming to read this, let me add that none of the thugs are consciously choosing to be Supremacists, and more particularly in their case, Christian Juhadusrs. [Remind yourself that behind every single Muslim terrorist is thousands of Jihadist believing faithful; one does not have to be terrorist to be a Christian Jihadist: one can live within the law, ESPECIALLY within democratic societies that protect people’s beliefs.]

But they have a desperate need to regain Christian cultural dominance. And the reason that dominance fell and will never be regained is solely because White American Christianity cannot conceive of a diverse AND equal Christian culture. Their failure in humility and their patriotic feeling toward Manifest Destiny is their heresy. And their eventual erasure.

These thugs are passing away. Hence their rage.

  2. Anachronistic thugs, I mean. Which is why they hate and attack Christian believers who are not choosing historically and dominantly White versions: Roman Catholics, Eastern Orthodox, and surely Syriac, Coptic, Mar Thoma, and Ethiopian christianities.

Toxic bro culture, uninterested in Christianity, have no problem with ethnicity. Just ideology. They will be a problem for a while.
