Further evidence that Stan is the blind leading the blind away from biblical clarity and true christian faith

Today, yet again, Stan depends on one word to keep his book holier than the Spirit, a person wholly part of the three-person’d god. But Stan prefers his book.

Stan cannot do without 2 Timothy where Paul writes that, “All scripture is god-breathed…”

[Never mind that Adam was god breathed and not perfect. Never mind that Jesus breathed on the disciples and they weren’t perfect. A book, though? Perfect!

And Stan oddly translates it as godbreathed “out”. There is no “out” in the Greek. Also, Stan bizarrely thinks Paul is quoting Luke’s gospel when it’s easily seen - and universally agreed - that Matthew and Luke both had Mark as a forerunner and a book of Jesus’ sayings we call the Q document as a forerunner. Paul and Luke are quoting from the same godbreathed document of scripture that was lost to history: not godbreathed enough apparently.]

Stan would prefer it if the Holy Spirit was contained in a book. Controllable, able to be mastered. Just ain’t the case.

What Paul absolutely does not say is that scripture can save anyone or even directly lead to salvation. He writes in 2 Timothy, in Stan’s passage, that scripture is “profitable for instruction, conviction, correction, and training in righteousness…”

No one disputes this. Scripture is Holy because the Spirit guides reading and reflection of its witness beyond itself to the One who does save and, what Paul emphasizes here: living the ever perfected Christian life.

What Stan cannot perceive is not only that the Holy Spirit is inestimably greater than the written word BUT SO IS THE BELIEVER who reads it.

Here is how Paul finishes the thought of training in righteousness: “so that the God-man - Θεοῦ ἄνθρωπος [!] - may be complete having been fully equipped toward ever good work.”

THIS is orthodoxy!! The human being is changed utterly by the dwelling of the Spirit and is now growing up into a God-human with by the power of the Holy Spirit with the help of Word and Sacrament.

Stan doesn’t know his own religion.

And has failed disastrously in teaching it to his readers:

I can't imagine any other better source. If the Bible isn't God's Words, then He has not communicated with us outside of nature…”

Wow! Cancelled the third person of the Trinity. Heretic.
