Craig makes the incredibly sad thing about the Thugs exceptionally clear

Craig rejects everything about the world and refuses to love it: “Which seems unlikely for those who seek to conform to the world in an attempt to gain the favor of the world.”

Thank god there is one who loves the world with an absolute love:

“For god so loved the world he sent his only Son… not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him.“

“For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do: sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh.”

If Christ had not emptied himself to conform to human flesh, redemption would not have come. But now that we ARE saved by his conforming to the world. What do we do?

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

Craig has turned the gospel life upside down. He wants a closed club. He cannot love what god loves so much.

Comments

  1. What Craig doesn’t think through is that every human being is made in the image and likeness of God. Everyone. God made us to be in relationship with God. It’s what God wants. So, of course God loves us. God loves everything he created.

Sure, the image and likeness is marred. But this also is true of everyone.

So our mission, as servants of Christ, is to love everyone as a creature of God, bearing the image and likeness of the Creator, and love everything as God’s handiwork.

When the world progresses in philosophical and sociological and scientific wisdom and in the artistic expression of human glory AND sin, and technical advancements that improve the quality of life, then and there humanity is expressing our capacities as participation in the life of the divine whether known or not.

Like God, because we are God’s, we must live the world. We’re still in it. It’s what we are here to do. And like God we don’t live sin. We must’ve to be woke to sin. In ourselves first and always. And also in our brother and sister.

Thugs don’t do this. Thugs hate and feed off of anger and exclusion. I wish our local blogger thugs would enter ever more deeply into the live God has for them. Then they would be healed.
